| Summary: | Requires the Arizona Board of Education to prescribe competency requirements and the minimum performance level per the methodologies outlined. Requires the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) to establish a process for determining the minimum academic performance levels and a schedule for administering a statewide assessment of academic performance statewide. Exempts students that obtain a passing score on an approved technical skills assessment test for a career or technical education program, or obtain an industry certification via a career or technical program approved by the ADE. Stipulates that the minimum assessment levels are required for graduates from high school in the state.
